Hot Rods by Dean is easily one of the more recognizable shop names in the world of hot rods. We are in the hot rod capital of the southwestern U.S., where the builds that pass through our shop's roll-up doors are known at all the indoor and outdoor car shows. Continually producing award-winning hot rods of all makes, models, and build styles, our doors opened in 2001. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, our team of 13 is experienced, highly trained, and well-versed in all fabrication phases, body- and paintwork, and tuning, whether the powerplant or suspension.
Hot Rods by Dean is more than a “shop.” We also manufacture specialty products that many hot rodders find useful in building their dream ride. For instance, one of our more popular, good-looking, and truly functional components is the “Tri-Five Chevy Core Support Cooling Module” (supplied with a radiator, twin electric fans, condenser, and trans cooler). The “Sub-Dash” is designed to attach below your hot rod's current dash, providing additional space for A/C controls and registers as well as accessory switches. Custom “Dash Bezels” are ideal for holding your personalized selection of engine monitoring gauges. “Battery Trays” are perfect for holding the popular 6- and 12-volt batteries, and the “Stash Box” has proven suitable for any number of early cars or trucks. It is ideal for holding items normally found in a glovebox.

Coupled with years of experience, Hot Rods by Dean has state-of-the-art equipment under the roof of its 12,000-square-foot facility. And what might one find in a well-outfitted shop? There is a multitude of metalworking equipment, such as mills, lathes, a Pullmax, an English wheel, a foot-operated kick press for punching holes, a louver press, a bead roller, tubing benders, plasma cutters, Miller spot, MIG, TIG welders, and a state-of-the-art and compliant paint booth. Wait, there is more. How about a Hunter Tire mounting machine and a Hunter Road Force Wheel Balancer? Couple this with the latest air conditioning test and fill machines suited for R12 or R134 refrigerant and A/C recovery and filling stations. This ensures your hot rod A/C is perfectly serviced. We also utilize the latest in A/C line crimping machinery for traditional rubber or stainless-steel hoses.
